Made by Hand has been in business for over 25 years.  We offer services to the trade, as well as residential clients in the Metrowest and Boston area.  At Made By Hand we fabricate custom window dressings, duvet covers, bedskirts, pillows and cushions.  In addition, we provide sales of Hunter Douglas products such as Duettes, New Style Shutters, Provenance Woven Wood, Silhouette and Designer Roller and Screen Shades.

Owner, Colleen Inman, originally began her career in the business world.  It wasn't until she and her husband bought their first home that she realized the possibility for a career change.  She began making window treatments for her own home, which subsequently resulted in requests for help from friends and family.  It was then that she recognized the need and desire for custom fabrications and decided to turn her hobby into a full-time business.  She attended the Professional Drapery Workroom School in Swannanoa, NC to refine her skills and ensure she was keeping up with industry trends and standards.  Since starting her business over 25 years ago, she has expanded from working with friends and family to working with local home owners and talented interior designers.
